ACS Secretary General, H.E. Rodolfo Sabonge, participated in the Transport Conference of the 39th Havana International Fair, held from 6-11 November at the EXPOCUBA exhibition centre. In his address, the Secretary General highlighted the importance of adopting a holistic approach to improving transport services in the Greater Caribbean. He pointed to the need to improve connectivity issues, for which it is crucial that a master plan be developed that takes into account traffic flows in the region.

His Excellency stressed that it is not enough to focus on the development of infrastructure projects, but that a strategic planning exercise on a regional scale is necessary. This approach avoids accumulating large infrastructures that will require a lot of resources to maintain in good condition, without providing much utility.

The Secretary General expressed the ACS' commitment to fostering collaborative initiatives to promote improvements in connectivity and regional development in the Caribbean.
