L'Association des États de la Caraïbe félicite la République du Suriname à l'occasion de son 46e anniversaire en tant que nation indépendante.
Connu pour son incroyable diversité ethnique, le Suriname a obtenu son indépendance des Pays-Bas le 25 novembre 1975.
Le Suriname est un membre fondateur de l'AEC et sert actuellement de rapporteur du Comité spécial sur le tourisme durable.
