Panama City hosted the ACS-led Conference on Humanitarian Assistance and Development for Haiti on January 26–27 to address the severe funding shortfall, as only $198 million of the $908 million needed had been provided. The meeting aimed to boost international cooperation to support more than half of Haiti’s population, who were facing poverty, school closures, and other urgent humanitarian needs.
