ACS Secretary General Meets with Brazil’s Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago – February 27, 2025 – The Secretary General of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), H.E. Noemí Espinoza Madrid, met with H.E. Maria Teófilo de Luna, Ambassador of Brazil to Trinidad and Tobago.
The discussion highlighted the shared satisfaction regarding the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the ACS and Brazil. Both parties explored avenues for collaboration to strengthen the ACS’s internal capacity.
Furthermore, Secretary-General Espinoza introduced Brazilian national, Dr. Felippe Ramos, who has joined the ACS as a Consultant for the Directorate of Cooperation and Resource Mobilisation.
The Secretary General also reiterated the ACS’ interest in welcoming Brazil to the 10th ACS Summit, further strengthening Brazil’s engagement with the Greater Caribbean, and both parties agreed to work to advance cooperative initiatives ahead of Secretary General Madrid’s participation in the upcoming Brazil-Caribbean Summit in Brazil.
The ACS remains committed to fostering closer ties with Brazil and advancing cooperative initiatives that benefit the Greater Caribbean region.
