Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago — 31 October 2025
The “Ready to Grow” Virtual Internship Programme of the Association of Caribbean States is now underway, offering university students from across the Greater Caribbean and beyond an opportunity to actively engage with the work of a dynamic regional organisation.
Designed to support the professional development of young people, the programme provides meaningful exposure to the ACS’ efforts to advance cooperation, sustainable development, and integration across the region.
Empowering Emerging Professionals Across the Caribbean
Through this initiative, participating interns are already contributing to projects and activities led by ACS Directorates and Units. The programme emphasizes:
- Hands-on learning through real tasks and assignments;
- A deeper understanding of regional priorities and multilateral cooperation;
- Growth in a multicultural, multilingual environment;
- Opportunities to develop leadership, initiative, and professional confidence.
By engaging in virtual meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and collaborative work, interns gain an inside view of how regional cooperation is shaped and implemented across the Greater Caribbean.
Building Pathways for Future Careers
“Ready to Grow” supports students in strengthening their research, communication, and analytical skills while introducing them to career pathways in international relations, public policy, sustainable development, environmental management, and related fields.
At the conclusion of their internship, participants receive an ACS Certificate of Completion, recognizing their contribution and the competencies acquired during the programme.
Through this ongoing initiative, the ACS reaffirms its commitment to cultivating a new generation of leaders dedicated to building a more connected, resilient, and sustainable Greater Caribbean.
