RESEMBID funds ACS

The Resilience, Sustainable Energy and Marine Biodiversity Programme (RESEMBID) has awarded funding to the Association of Caribbean States – ACS for the implementation of the project “Advancing Collaboration as a Strategy for Building Tourism Crisis Resilience”. This project will benefit four Associate Members of the ACS: Bonaire, Curacao and Sint Maarten and seeks to overcome the barriers to expediting economic reactivation through tourism, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, unemployment among women, youth and vulnerable groups, and the delay on implementation of technological platforms.
This initiative constitutes a holistic approach to resilience, promoting development among territories, and contributing to the quality of life of the peoples of the Greater Caribbean through the recovering of the touristic industry. The ACS through the Directorate for Cooperation and Resource Mobilisation and the Directorate for Trade and Sustainable Development materialized the project.
