International Women’s Day

International Women's Day 2024

As we celebrate International Women's Day 2024 under the auspices of the United Nations with the theme "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress," the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) reaffirms its commitment to gender equality and women's empowerment and also to honour the great women of the Greater Caribbean. This year, we focus on pivotal areas that demand our collective action and investment in women, recognizing that it is not only a matter of human rights but also a foundational step towards a prosperous, equitable, and sustainable future for all.

This International Women's Day, let us come together to transform challenges into opportunities. By investing in women, we are not just supporting half of the population; we are nurturing the foundation of a just, inclusive, and thriving society.

Let's pledge to accelerate progress, end poverty, implement gender-responsive financing, support the shift to a green economy and a care society, and, most importantly, amplify the voices and impact of feminist change-makers.

Together, we can and will build a brighter future for all.
