World Meteorological Day 2023: The Future of Weather, Climate and Water across Generations
The Association of Caribbean States (ACS) joins the global community in commemorating World Meteorological Day 2023 under the theme, “The Future of Weather, Climate and Water across Generations”. The theme highlights the achievements of the past, the progress of the present and the potential of the future. It explores the development of hydrological and meteorological technology- from telegraphs and shipping forecasts in the 19th century to supercomputers and space technology in the 20th century.

The Secretary General of The Association of Caribbean States Keynotes at Action on Disaster Relief 2023
At the region's largest humanitarian and development meeting, the Secretary General spoke about the issues facing the Greater Caribbean region. According to Sabonge, the effects of the Pandemic and Climate Change have highlighted the region's multidemensional vulnerabilities.

The Association of Caribbean States meets with United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction
His Excellency Rodolfo Sabonge, met with Mami Mizutori, Special Representative of the Secretary General for Disaster Risk Reduction of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR). The importance of strengthening early warning systems to protect the most vulnerable populations in the Greater Caribbean region was one of the main topics in this meeting.

ACS and Guatemala sign a Memorandum of Understanding to host the 9th Summit of Heads of State and/or Government
The Secretary General of the Association of Caribbean States, Rodolfo Sabonge, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guatemala, Mario Bucaro Flores, have signed an agreement that initiates planning for a series of statutory meetings scheduled for May this year, which will culminate with the 9th Summit of Heads of State and/or Government of the #AEC in Antigua Guatemala.
