INVITATION
The Heads of State and/or Government of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) are convening the 4th Business Forum of the Greater Caribbean, to be held in the City of Santiago de Cuba on June 10 - 11, 2003, under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba. This multisector event will once again offer businesspeople from the Greater Caribbean the possibility to meet with the purpose of identifying business opportunities that will enable us to secure markets for our main exports, as well as to promote closer ties to suppliers of basic goods. These are priority objectives shared by our economies, and their materialization and fostering is intended to strengthen the growing aspiration for a closer and more effective interaction among the business community of the region. This event will facilitate the awareness of existing opportunities in different directions, and will consequently contribute to advancing the process of regional integration in the area. |

PAST BUSINESS FORA: |
In keeping
with the interests expressed by the regional business community, and the
determination of the Association of Caribbean States to make each edition
of this forum a genuine, attractive and effective business opportunity
for regional entrepreneurs, Cuba is organizing business encounters and
a program of conferences on important economic and trade issues of regional
and international relevance. The lectures will be delivered by important
panellists and national and regional personalities, and will provide a
space for reflection and an open exchange of ideas.
Visits to important centres and trade organisations in Santiago de Cuba will be scheduled, so that the progress made in the most Caribbean of the Cuban cities can be verified. These visits will offer the additional opportunity for participating businesspeople, national government authorities and foreign personalities to exchange their impressions and discuss issues of common interest. The Program for this 4th Business Forum of the Greater Caribbean also includes the simultaneous hosting of the following events:
This invitation to the 4th Business Forum of the Greater Caribbean is extended to all Member Countries of the Association of Caribbean States, convinced that each of these editions of the Forum constitutes an important link to export promotion policies and for strengthening cooperation ties with trade partners at the interregional level, apart from constituting an important catalyst for the development of economic and trade links among Members and Associate Members of the ACS. Once again, an invitation is extended to participate in the 4th Business Forum and its related activities. Cuba, and in particular
the City of Santiago de Cuba, rejoice and are deeply honoured at this
opportunity to welcome Caribbean business representatives. Santiago
de Cuba, with its unique Caribbean hallmark and its well-known hospitality
will open its city gates to all Caribbean business representatives in
an atmosphere of warmth and brotherhood. |
