The Republic of Nicaragua in Central America has both Caribbean and Pacific coasts and is bordered by Honduras to the North and Costa Rica to the South. The capital is Managua. Coffee, meat and shellfish are important exports and the agriculture, forestry and fishing sectors employs approximately 23 per cent of the workforce and contributes 33 per cent of GDP. Industry employs 18 per cent of the workforce and contributes 21 per cent of GDP, while the services sector employs 59 per cent of the workforce and contributes 46 per cent of GDP.
