Training Programmes and Human Resource Training
offered by the Secretariats of the Greater Caribbean 2001

 

In accordance with the commitment made at the First Inter-Secretariat Meeting on Inter-Institutional Co-operation in the Greater Caribbean, which was held at the Headquarters of the Association of Caribbean States in Port of Spain, September 18-19, 2000, the SELA Permanent Secretariat presents the first draft of a List of Training Programmes and Training for International Commercial Negotiators offered by the Secretariats of the Greater Caribbean. The purpose of this would be to serve as the basis for the creation of an Inter-Secretariat information exchange Network in this field, which would allow mutual co-operation, coordination and avoid the duplication of efforts.

Since information is still outstanding from several Secretariats, the document remains incomplete and will be examined at the Second Inter-Secretariat Meeting on Inter-Institutional Co-operation in the Greater Caribbean, which will take place at the ACS Headquarters in Port of Spain, May 17-18, 2001. The document contains a summary that is to be enhanced with additional information on the details of the programmes, dates of workshops and courses, the level of the presenters and participants, in addition to the organization and logistics of such programmes.
