The Business Forum of the Greater Caribbean responds directly to the ACS mandate “to build and consolidate an enhanced economic space for trade and investment in the Greater Caribbean.” The theme for this year’s Forum, which will take place at the Trinidad Hilton from September 26-29, is “Deepening the Regional Integration Process Through Trade and Investment". As Director Madriz explained in his opening remarks, this particular choice of theme speaks to “the valuable opportunity that this event offers to representatives of the public and private sector and academia to share information, experiences and views on key areas of trade such as efficient export promotion policies, taking advantage of cultural events to promote local products and services abroad, and cluster development for successful economic integration in the region.” The 7th Business Forum of the Greater Caribbean will span four days. The first day will provide a space for dialogue among the participants, while the other three days will be dedicated solely to pre-arranged business meetings.
