Topping the agenda for this Meeting’s deliberations is the appointment of three Directors to head the areas of Trade, Sustainable Tourism, Transport and Natural Disasters within the ACS Secretariat. Ministers and other high level officials will also deliberate on the selection of Chairmen of the Special Committees as well as the admission of a new Associate Member to the twenty-eight Member grouping. The Association is also preparing for its Fourth Summit in Panama City next year, at which time special homage will be paid to His Excellency Arthur Napoleon Raymond Robinson, former President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. |

the ACS
The Association of Caribbean States is the organisation for consultation, cooperation and concerted action in trade, transport, sustainable tourism and natural disasters in the Greater Caribbean. Its Member States are Antigua & Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago and Venezuela. Its Associate Members are Aruba, France on behalf of French Guiana, Guadeloupe, and Martinique, and the Netherlands Antilles.
