AGREEMENT FOR THE COMPOSITION OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARDS OF THE SPECIAL COMMITTEES AND THE COUNCIL OF NATIONAL REPRESENTATIVES OF THE SPECIAL FUND
The Ministerial Council,
Pursuant to:
1. Article VIII, paragraph 3 of the Convention Establishing the Association.
2. Agreement No. 7/95, approved by the Ministerial Council at the Second Ordinary Meeting held in Havana, Cuba on December 13, 1996.
Hereby agrees:
a. Trade Development and External Economic Relations
Chairman: Venezuela
Vice Chairman: Trinidad and Tobago
Rapporteur: Dominican Republic
b. Protection and Conservation of the Environment and the Caribbean Sea and Natural Resources
Chairman: Dominican Republic
Vice Chairman: Mexico
Rapporteur: Guyana
c. Science, Technology, Health, Education and Culture
Chairman: Jamaica
Vice Chairman: Dominican Republic
Rapporteur: Colombia
d. Budget and Administration
Chairman: Haiti
Vice Chairman: Trinidad and Tobago (host country)
Rapporteur: Panama
e. Tourism
Chairman: Cuba
Vice Chairman: Barbados
Rapporteur: Mexico
f. Transport
Chairman: Trinidad and Tobago
Vice Chairman: Cuba
Rapporteur: Colombia
2. Executive Board of the Council of National Representatives of the Special Fund:
Chairman: Mexico
1st Vice Chairman: Cuba
2nd Vice Chairman: Guatemala
3rd Vice Chairman: Colombia
Rapporteur: Trinidad and Tobago
3. Under the present Agreement, the Executive Boards will sit for one year, from the end of the Fourth Ordinary Meeting of the Ministerial Council until the end of the Fifth Ordinary Meeting of the Ministerial Council.
4. The Executive Board of the Council of National Representatives of the Special Fund will be elected each year by the Council of National Representatives of the Special Fund in accordance with the Operating Regulations of the Special Fund.
