| The Honourable Franklyn Delano (right), Minister of State of Foreign Affairs, Jamaica presents a painting entitled Earth Rhythm by Jamaican artist Lois Lake Sherwood to the Association of Caribbean States Secretary General Professor Norman Girvan (left). The Jamaican government was responding to an invitation from the ACS Secretariat to member countries to contribute works of art to be displayed at the Secretariat offices in Port of Spain. Professor Girvan acknowledged the painting as a symbol of the Jamaican government's continued commitment to and support of the ACS. The brief presentation took place during the Special Meeting of the Executive Board of the Ministerial Council of the Association of Caribbean States on January 28, 2004 | |
